FRABA 2ND ANNUAL GOLF TOUNAMENT

It may have been a rainy day but that didn’t dampen the spirits of our 80 golfers at the 2nd Annual Golf tournament.

The heavy downpour caused a bit of a delay as both FRABA members and non-members mingled and socialized at the Clubhouse. But when it was time to go, everyone donned their rain gear and headed out for a full 18 holes.

We would like to thank all of our hole sponsors for donating to our tournament and our golfers were even welcome by local businesses offering treats, drinks, team photos and prizes! Everyone returned soaking wet but wearing smiles!

Hungry golfers enjoyed dinner by Oakfield Golf & Country Club and sponsored by Lower Sackville Scotiabank branch, wine by Avondale Sky Winery. We held a silent auction and gave away many door prizes, which were donated by many of our local businesses – thank you to everyone!

Funds raised from this tournament will go to our scholarships, community beautification with our flowers and wreaths along Highway 2, as well as the operations of making FRABA and successful as possible for our business community.

The Golf Committee have already started for next year’s tournament! Stay tuned! Many thanks to everyone who came out to join us despite the weather and made this a fantastic event!
