About your business association

Fall River and Area Business Association (FRABA) is an association of small business owners and others who live and work in Fall River Nova Scotia and the surrounding areas (Wellington, Fletcher's Lake, Grand Lake, Oakfield, Windsor Junction, Beaver Bank, Lakeview, Waverley and the Stanfield International Airport). The objective of the association is to help promote, support and be a voice for businesses in the Fall River and surrounding areas.

The Board of Director's meetings are held virtually on the first Tuesday of every month (except July & Aug). Board meetings are open to all members, but non-board members shall not take part unless requested by the board.

The regular networking event 'Happy Hour' is held on the third Thursday of every month (except July & Aug). These events provide information relevant to the members on issues involving businesses in the community. The meetings also provide a venue for networking for business owners and for members doing business in the Fall River and surrounding areas.

The Annual General Meeting is held in June of each year.

Meet the Board

A Board Members responsibility is to participate, engage and contribute to the association’s mission and purpose. Their collective focus is:

'how can we best support the business community?'

The Board members, together with the Executive Board, work as a team to make sure FRABA is on target with its purpose, and ensures that they have the resources needed to further their goals.

Board members participate by attending regular board meetings, lending their expertise and experience to the various committees and generally contributing to create a dynamic team.
