Mark was born and raised in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (PEI). Following High School, he attended the University of Prince Edward Island and enrolled as an Armour Officer within the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).
During his 16 years with the CAF Mark was employed as a Reconnaissance Troop Leader, Tank Troop Leader, Assistant to the Adjutant, Adjutant, Operations Officer, Instructor, Course Officer, National Standards Representative, Military Career Counsellor and finally as a Recruiting Detachment Commander. The aforementioned positions resulted in a total of 6 service-related moves.
Following the birth of his son, Mark and his wife decided that the family had relocated enough and that it was time to put down some roots. This ultimately led to the purchasing of five Instant Imprints Franchises within the Halifax Regional Municipality and the family’s subsequent relocation back to Halifax during the summer of 2022.
So, what does Instant Imprints do? Well, Instant Imprints is a visual communications company and they create custom Embroidered Apparel, T-Shirts / Other Wearables, Signs and Banners, Promotional Products and of course Print Services. Simply put, they help you grow your business by assisting you with advertisement and promotion, customer attraction, employee satisfaction and growing your average customer transaction. Mark was drawn to Instant Imprints because of his desire to continue to serve and to make a difference within his community. His military training had left him with a keen eye-for-detail, a thorough understanding of adult learning, management and organizational structure all of which paired well with Instant Imprints’ franchise model of in-house production.
When not occupied with work, Mark enjoys travelling with his wife, spending time with his son and struggling to find an effective work-life balance.
