Letter From Bill Horne MLA

Non Profit Reopening Support Grant – Local Halls, Legions, Non-Profit Organizations

**Many of you have periodically received e-mails from my office relating to news/grants/information that relates to our community groups and organizations. If you would like to not receive these e-mails, please reply and I will adjust the list. I do understand that not every notice will apply to all circumstances. If you feel another resident or organization should be included please let me know**
Our community’s strength comes from our dedicated community groups. I will help in any way that I can and provide information that groups may be able to access to become operational. I believe it is also important that our groups support each other and share information on resources and solutions to some of the difficult challenges we need to face to open.
Legions/ Halls as well as info for other non-profits:
Non Profit Reopening Support Grant
Have you applied for the reopening and support grant up to $5000? The Small Business Reopening and Support Grant provides funding to help some small businesses, non-profits, charities and social enterprises that were ordered to close or greatly reduce operations because of the Public Health Order, or were greatly impacted by social distancing and orders to stay home.
Non Profit Organizations
If there are other non profit organizations that may be struggling during this time of COVID19, please reach out and we can contact the province to see what funding or grants that may be available for these groups.
Many businesses are preparing to reopen on Friday. It is important that we all support our local businesses. They need us & welcome us back. Now more than ever, we need to think local, buy local, & support local. It makes us #lNSStrong and #NSProud.
Thank you for all your work year round and for volunteering to make all of our communities stronger.

Your Sincerely,
Bill Horne, MLA
