The latest winner of the FRABA Participation Draw is Melanie (Oakes) MacKinnon from Nulantic Water Inc.
Melanie grew up rebuilding equipment for her father’s company, Resource Systems, in exchange for allowance money. After working for an engineering firm in Ontario, she moved back in 2003 to focus on business development for RSI – and negotiated better wage compensation this time!
After 15 years, she saw an opportunity with an increased focus on the environment. Melanie re-branded as Nulantic Water Inc., becoming a third-generation entrepreneur in municipal and industrial industry for water & wastewater treatment, disinfection and monitoring. The office base is in Fall River, but services all Atlantic Canada as a manufacturer’s equipment representative.
Although not by design, all her incredible team is from/lives in Fall River. Must be something special in the water here! As a very new FRABA member, she’s looking forward to connecting more with the community, and has even had her family out feasting for the Scholarship pancake breakfast.
